Training in General Practice
Some years the Practice is joined by a General Practice Registrar who is a fully qualified Doctor with much hospital experience. The practice is also involved in the training of Nurses, Medical Receptionists and Medical Students. All of this is done in the strictest confidence.
We have our new GP Trainee, Dr Cheryl Coulter who has joined us for 6 months. Dr Coulter is a fully qualified GP and is working under supervision of our GP Partners within the practice. If you see Dr Coulter you may be asked if we can record the consultation, please note you will always be made aware of this on booking your appointments and you have the choice to decline.

We have the support of qualified Health Visitors. The Health Visitor is best known for their work with the under 5 year olds, helping the practice with Child Health Surveillance and Immunisation clinics. They run their own Baby Clinic at 2pm on Wednesdays and also gives advice on Family Planning, Antenatal and parent craft matters. They can normally be contacted between 9.00 – 10.00am and 4.00 – 5.00pm at the Health Centre.
