Appointments can be made in person, or by phone. All patients have the right to request a GP of their choice when requesting an appointment. We also offer appointments with our Nurse Practitioner and any calls that are urgent will be screened at the first phone call. Please bear with us as our Nurse Practitioners are very experienced and are able to prescribe etc so your problem could perhaps be dealt with quicker if the staff feel the Nurse Practitioner can help.
Urgent/Emergency cases will be taken before less ill patients – so please bear with us if the Doctor is running a little late.
You can help us by:
We operate early morning surgeries 2 mornings per week from 7.30 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. These are available for patients who are unable to attend during the day due to work commitments. If you wish to have an early morning appointment please call the surgery and ask the receptionist for details.
Please tell us if you cannot keep an appointment – the appointment can then be given to another patient.
We ask that if you are unable to attend an appointment that you let the surgery know as soon as possible as this will allow the appointment to be offered to someone else. Failure to keep appointments without informing the surgery may result in your removal for the list
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.
You can now register to receive information by text message on your phone regarding appointments and health care.

If practices are sending messages about recommended treatment for the management of a specific health issue(s), then this is defined as providing appropriate care for patients, not marketing purposes.
If you would like to opt out of any future contact via text messaging, then please complete the form and indicate in the marked section.
